Overview
Located on the edge of a lake in a scenic West Hartford neighborhood, this homeowner requested a natural bluestone walkway lined with yellow cobblestones leading from their driveway to the front doors. They also requested a matching landing on both doorsteps to tie the look together. By replacing the old, cracked bluestone squares, we created something far more natural that fits perfectly in this quaint neighborhood.

One of the key factors in this project was ensuring it felt as natural as possible. Our choice of irregularly shaped bluestone slaps gives that perfect appearance with some minor tweaks. Not only did they make perfect walking stones, but smaller pieces are used as veneer on the fronts of the steps.

The yellow-tinted cobblestone that lines the edge of the walkway fits perfectly with the siding of the home.
